Enyeama Congratulates Yaya Toure

Captain of Nigeria's Super Eagles, Vincent Enyeama, has expressed satisfaction with the choice of Cote D'Ivoire and Manchester City midfielder, Yaya Toure, as the African Player of the Year..
Yaya Toure, who previously won the title in 2011, 2012 and 201 3 polled one hundred and seventy - five votes against Pierre - Emerick Aubameyang of Senegal who had one hundred and twenty- five votes while Vincent Enyeama settled for the third position with one hundred and five votes.
Enyeama, congratulated Yaya Toure for being crowned as African player of the Year, four time in a row as his superlative performance for his nation and club side earned him the prestigious continental award.
The Lille of France goalkeeper, who sees himself as a good loser, said the inability of Super Eagles to qualify for the 2015 Equatorial Guinea, African Cup of Nations had no negative effect for not being crowned as the winner, adding that it is disheartening that Super Eagles would not defend the Afcon title won in 2013 edition held in South Africa.
Meanwhile, President of the Nigeria Football Federation,Amaju Pinnick, says Vincent Enyeama of Nigeria's Super Eagles should have been decorated as the African Player of the Year because it is rare to select a goalkeeper in the final list of players selected for the similar award in the world.
Pinnick, who was pained over Enyeama's defeat, said the Federation was excited that Enyeama was rated as the third best player in Africa as he demonstrated good qualities of a worthy leader, stressing that the NFF is proud of him because he is a super ambassador.
