Channels Television Holds Draws On Thursday

The official draws ceremony for the 3rd edition of the Channels kids cup football competition will hold on Thursday, at Channels Television office, in Maryland, Lagos, South-West Nigeria.

The annual football tournament which brings together pupils from public and private primary schools in Lagos and its environs has grown in leaps and bounds since its inception in 2009.

The number of participants have also increased with the inclusion of schools from neighboring states like Ogun ,Oyo and Kwara.

According to the Chairman/CEO of Channels Television, John Momoh, this year’s edition comes with loads of excitement and motivation as corporate organizations have shown profound interest in partnering with the catch them young football fiesta.

He said Channel Television was fulfilling part of its corporate social responsibility culture of ensuring Nigeria which is abound with talents is rated among the top football playing nations in the world.

He said the tournament serves to correct the age long notion that Nigeria cannot present players with their true ages in youth competitions” Momoh said.

Ladi Lak primary school,Bariga defeated Dr. Soyemi memorial primary school,Festac Town 4-0 to emerge champions of the 2010 edition decided at the magnificient Campos square pitch in Lagos Island .

The campos square will also stage the finals of the 2011 event on Friday,May 27,2011 which is the Children’s day.
