FIFA has appointed Nigerian Jelili Ogunmuyiwa as one of three African referees to take charge of proceedings at this year’s FIFA Beack Soccer World Cup in Ravenna, Italy.
Ogunmuyiwa, will join Said Hachim from Madagascar and Louis David Adolphe from Mauritius as the only African arbiters at the tournament billed for 1st – 11th September, 2011.
There are a total of 24 referees selected to handle proceedings at this year’s FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, with four coming from Asia, three from Central America, five from South America, one from Oceania and eight from Europe.
