The Blueliners Football Club of Lagos has successfully defended the Adefemi Olubayo Memorial tournament, as they piped the hard-fighting All Stars FC by a lone goal to lift the gold trophy.

Blueliners’ lanky tall striker, Kelechi Oyebuchi separated the two teams with a header in the 75th minutes of the energy sapping encounter.
Olubayo’s elder brother, Abiodun Adefemi, who featured for the All Stars team in the final stated that the competition was designed to immortalise the late Super Eagles’ defender.
He however, urged the Nigeria Football Federation NFF, and friends of Olubayo to support the initiative.
Meawhile, the Director of Search and Groom, Nigeria, Yomi Kuku who was present at the ceremony, rewarded the goal scorer, Onyebuchi, with a call up to join his talent hunt programme.
The winner of the tournament carted home a giant trophy and the sum of N100,000, while the second and third placed team were rewarded with the sum of N30,000 and N20,000
