
The Lagos State Judo Association is set to collaborate with De United Foods, makers of Indomie Instant Noodles on Judo Sports Development in Lagos State.
The Association stated that the purpose of the association’s visit is to seek for sponsorship of its activities and programs towards the development of game of judo in Lagos State from De United Foods.
Its Secretary Soribe Ijeoma, commended De United Food for appreciating the performance of the state's Judokas at the last concluded National Sports Festival tagged Garden City Games.
The Lagos State Judokas won One Gold, Three Silver and 4 Bronze medals at the Garden City Games.
Ijeoma, told our sportsweight.blogspot.com, that De UNited Foods made available the company's products to the athletes after the Association paid a visit to the company, stressing that the gesture is to encourage them to perform excellently at subsequent national Judo tournaments
Ijeoma, said the company had also promised to support in numerous areas that would aid the development of the sport and also lit the spirit of the athletes in participating in national events.
In response De United Foods, Public Relations Manager, Tope Asiwaju, assured a continuous supports of his company for Lagos State Sports Council in the area of sports development.
He therefore congratulates the Lagos State Sports Council, Lagos State Judo Association and the Judo Medalists at the 17th National Sports Festival, Port Harcourt for the success.
It could be recall that Lagos State won Eight (8) medals in Judo at the last 17th National Sports Festival, Port Harcourt as follows; 1 gold medal by Bukola Adeyanju, 3 silver medals by Bilikisu Zubar, Gedion Balogun, Amodu Amuda and 4 bronze medals won by Adekunle Omolola, Muyiwa Ogundeyi, Adewunmi Akintunde and Kafayat Adepoju.
