Nigeria step up its preparation for the 26th edition of the FIBA Africa Championship for Men tagged, Madagascar 2011 Afrobasket with an 84-66 points victory over the Netherlands in a game played yesterday in London in a three -Nations invitational.
The Nigeria senior national team, D’Tigers coached by John Lucas won the first three quarters by 21-10, 21-14, 21-19 while it gave up the fourth quarter by 21-23 to the Dutch for a cumulative score-line of 84-66 thus setting up a last day clash against host Great Britain.
Three Nigerian basketball players were in great form scoring double digit each with Derrick Obasohan leading the floor with 30 points, Ime Udoka contributing 18 points while Olumide Oyedeji adding 13 points to give Nigeria a deserved victory.
