Siasia Expresses Disappointment Over Cancellation Of Nigeria/Ghana Clash

Nigeria's Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia has expressed his disappointment at the cancellation of Tuesday's international friendly match against Ghana.
The game was due to be hosted at Watford FC's Vicarage Road stadium, but the club was forced to call off the game on the advice of the Hertforshire Constabulary as
Siasia and his players were left to contemplate the effects.
"We are very disappointed that the game has been called off.
The former Super Eagles striker, said the team's technical crew as well as the players were prepared and confident of recording a remarkable feat against Ghana despite not having Eagles regular players on ground for the match.
"We were looking forward to playing this game, and the players were also very prepared and confident despite the fact that we didnt have a full house and we had just one training session.
Siasia, who explained that he had informed the Executive members of the NFF, said they were also disappointed having exerted their energies with a view of engaging the Black Stars of Ghana and also to put the team in good frame of mind ahead of the African Nations Cup qualifier.
"I also spoke to the NFF officials and they are also disappointed that this game did not hold.
Reports have it that there are posibilities of staging the friendly in November as the organisers are working hard to reschedule the encounter which has arouse the interest of African football.
"But there is nothing anybody can do. The police have the final authority and if they say they cannot guarantee our security, then we have to take it like that."
