Uganda Referee Irene Namubiru To Handle Flamingoes/Kenya Match

Ugandan FIFA Woman referee Irene Namubiru will be at the centre during
Saturday’s match at the Nyayo Stadium.

Sh is to be assisted by compatriots Diana Mukasa (1st Assistant), Marex Nakitto (2nd Assistant) and Aisha Ssemambo (4th Official). The match commissioner is Souaadatou Kalkaba from Cameroon.

To reach the first edition of the inaugural edition of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup finals which took place in New Zealand in 2008, the Flamingoes defeated Guinea home and away, edged Ghana on aggregate and lashed Cameroon 3-0 after a 1-1 draw in Yaounde.

In the race to Trinidad and Tobago, the Nigerian girls outplayed South Africa home and away.

After the Kenyan hurdle, the girls of Peter Dedevbo will be up against the winner of the fixture between Botswana and Zambia to determine one of the three African tickets to Azerbaijan.
