Francis, Badejo Shine In Lagos Boxing Hall Of Fame Contest.

Lagos State teenage boxers have called on Governor Babatunde RAJI Fashola, to create a platform for teenagers who have passion for sports in a bid toexcel in their chosen profession.

The teenagers, Saviour Francis and Joseph Badejo of Nigeria Model High School,
Mushin,thrilled boxing fans in the just concluded 28th edition of the Monthly Saturday Boxing Show organised by the Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame.

Badejo, ten year old, who defeated Saviour Francis on points, in a three round contest, said his ambition was to become a future champion, stressing that he prefered boxing to other combat sports.

To Francis, renowned boxing star,Mohammed Ali, spurred him to pick interest in boxing as he explained that the sport would affect his academics.


According to their coach, Babalola Oladipupo, the duo of Francis and Badejo had been under his tutelage for over a month and they had been reating positively to training as they have potential to become future stars.

Tunde Sumade, Israel Akinola, Shina Balogun, Tajudeen Sodiq, Hakeem Akinade, Taiye Oluwo, Ademola Azeez and Micheal Oriyomi were decllared winners in their weight categories.
