Gaiya Condemns Abdullahi's Panel.

Chairman House Committee on Sports, Godfrey Gaiya, has assured that the committee would do a thorough job on the petition levelled against the National Sports Commission.

While speaking with Sportsweight.blogspot.com, Gaiya, said te committee would had delibrated on the issue long before now but the need to complete the commission's budget defense was responsible for the delay.

He said the Committee would soon invite all the names mentioned in the petition submitted to the speaker of the House in a bid to give them the opportunity of explaining their role, stressing that the probe panel is not set up to witch hunt any of the alleged officers mention in the petition.

On the initiative of Chairman/Minister of National Sports Commission, Bolaji Abdullahi, on the dwindling standard of Nigerian Football, Gaiya, said the alst Minister, Yusuf Suleiman, set up similar probe panel which was headed by former Chairman of the Nigeria Football Association, D ominic Oneya and the report is yet to be submitted to his committee.
