Green Hails Pharaohs Display.

As the world continues to appreciate the Super Eagles despite its 2-3 loss to Egypt last Thursday, in Dubai, United Arab Emirate, team psychologist, Robinson Okosun, has praised authorities of the NFF for initiating several friendlies for the team, even as he said the friendly matches will never be enough for a team that is in a rebuilding process.

Okosun said that the team had been meeting lesser foes in recent games and it showed when it met a world class side in the game against Egypt.

“The first big game was against Angola, then we played Liberia and later Rwanda, these teams are not in the class of Egypt technically speaking and that was why we could not win the game against them.

“The only way to defeat this types of teams is to ensure we play many games against them or against countries that play like them, like Tunisia, Algeria and even Cameroon and Ghana. There is no harm in making mistakes in qualifiers and coming out well when the proper tournaments start”, Okosun said in Dubai.

NFF Technical Committee Chairman, Barrister Chris Green, said he was impressed by the display of the Eagles against Egypt, which is ranked as one of the best national teams in the world.

Green, said he game against Egypt had shown that Nigeria have some of the best collection of players in the national team.

“Honestly, I now know why Keshi keeps saying that they are not home based Eagles but the real national team. The game against Egypt has shown us that we have some of the best collection of players in the national team and I see the team going all the way to prove that Nigeria is back among the super powers of world football.
