DeepWater Confident Of Retaining League Trophy.

The Management of Deepwater Female Basketball Team is confident that the basketball club would retain the 2011.2012 Zenith Bank/ NBBF Women Basketball League.

Its Managing Director, Babatunde Babalola, said the current champion of Nigeria's Women Basketball League had the best crop of experienced female basketball players in the country who are always in the mood of recording outstanding performance at any organised tournaments couple with versatile coach, Lateef Erinfolami and his technical crew.

Babalola, said the club's management had a strong policy for excellence and the move has enabled the players to work hard to sustain the policy, stressing that the structure has been the source of the team's excellent performance either in local or international events.

Having been rated the third best team in Africa based on their performance at the last organised FIBA Africa Female Clubs Championship in Lagos,the club boss, said the basketball players and the coaching crew would be exposed to modern training techniques to become the latest champion of FIBA Africa Female Clubs Championship.

The Club's Coach, Lateef Erinfolami, said plans are in top gear to attract two foreign based basketball players to fortify the club ahead of FIBA Africa Female Clubs Championship.
