Nigerian professional boxer, Olusegun Ajose, has said that lack of preparations would jeopardy the chances of Nigerian pugilists to the London 2012, Olympic Games to win laurels in the boxing event.
The World Boxing Council, Lightwelter contender said the Cuban junior boxers let alone their senior team were capable of beating the nation’s selected pugilists to the Games because they were exposed to series of international competitions.
Ajose, said the Nigerian boxers to the Olympic Games did not have the opportunity of competing in a regular international events as the gesture enable a boxer to acquire skills and modern training techniques of boxing.
He said the Cuban national boxing had been in camp since four years and they have been competing in series of international tournaments unlike the Nigerian pugilists who recently resume to camp in the last five months.
