Chief Coach of Nigeria's Falconets, Edwin Okon, has issued Thursday as the deadline Falconets Players who yet to report to camp.
The ultimatum was issued by the team's Coach, Edwin Okon, to enable the players to feature in tomorrow's National Women League matches.
“The players know themselves and to that effect, they are expected in camp on Thursday,” he said.
He warned that players who fail to report on the due day will be punished accordingly. “With just seven weeks to the start of the Championship l do not expect any player to drag the team backwards,” he said.
Just last Sunday (July 1), Falconets, one of Africa’s representatives to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup which holds next month (August 18 to September 8) in Japan resumed for training in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) after a six- weeks break.
Okon, said he did not want any of the football players to demoralise the team's spirit towards the FIFA Under 20 World Cup in August, 2012 which is six weeks away, adding that any of the football player who fails to comply with the directive would be dealt with.
Meanwhile, 19 out of the 35 invited Falconets players have since reported to Serob Hotel.
The list of the football players in camp ar, the team Captain, Gloria Ofoegbu, Uchechi Sunday, Ugo Njoku, Chisom Henry, Lola Phillips, Vivian Okotie, Ebubeleye Whyte, Chinyere Okafor, Blessing Edoho, among others.
Nigeria has been drawn in Group B against Brazil, Italy and Korea Republic.
