"A group has gone to qualify Nigeria. We still have a pool of players in USA, some of the players for the qualifier are injured, some cannot play anymore. The coach is only at home for a couple of days.He is going back to London in two weeks time and pick the ones who replace the inured players, Ogunade Said"

Ogunade, who doubles as the chairman of Lagos State Basketball Association, said Bakare's job was half done as the coach and his basketball players are expected to converge in London in two weeks time for screening in a bid to select a virile team ahead of the Games, adding that the camp would create a platform to replace injured players.

He explained that the D'Tigers would respect its opponents from United States, France, and Argentina but would not be afraid of competing for honor with the great basketball playing nations.

He said the DSTV/NBBF final Eight basketball league billed for this month would create an opportunity for the NBBF to discover talented basketball players who would replace aging players as the Federation would also delve into developmental programme to further redeem the image of basketball in Nigeria
