Seminar, Draws For MTN Lagos Street Soccer Championship Holds On Wednesday.

To ensure that teams are well acquainted with the rules guiding the game, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of MTN Lagos Street Soccer Championship is staging a one-day seminar holding tomorrow Wednesday July 4, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Aside the seminar, the event will also witness the draws for the season five of the championship.

According to LOC, the seminar became necessary as the laws guiding the five-a-side tournament are ever changing.

With resource persons drawn within and outside the LOC, the seminar will afford the teams opportunities to be updated with the new rules to be used this season.

Last week, referees and match commissioners were trained in readiness for the championship this season, while tomorrow’s seminar will also assist the coaches and team managers in their build up to the competition.
  “We believe that updating the knowledge of players especially the entire
teams taking part in this year’s tournament is necessary because we
believe that they must be aware of the rules guiding the game.

 As part of the innovation for this season, the inclusion of female and corporate teams has made it important for us to train the players, coaches and team managers so that they can know the rules and regulations that govern the game.

We hope all the registered teams will avail themselves this opportunity to be part of the training holding at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Wednesday July 4 starting from 9am,” LOC stated.

Also, the draws for season five will also hold same day with all the participating expected to know their foes in the first round of the championship.
