3-day Final Team Selection At Astroturf Osborne, Ikoyi, Lagos

Nigeria’s March to the 2012 Mexico City Women’s Homeless World Cup begin in earnest on Monday 6th of August 2012 at the Astroturf complex in Osborne, Ikoyi Lagos.

Five players from Calabar, Cross River State namely Glory Henshaw, Edikan Udoh, Regina Otu, Ruth Friday and Uduak Jimmy will join up with the rest of the selected players in Lagos for the 3-day final selection process.

Other ladies joining with the rest of the team are: Fadoyin Ololade, Peace Ozehudu, Rita Monday, Ganiat Muhammed, Funmi Adediran, Vivian Ikechukwu, Toyosii Alogba, Damilola Omotosho, Omolara Kolawole, Margaret Ademulegun, Sarah Iloduba, Nimota Ahmad, Suliat Waheed, Shakeerat Owolabi, Gbadamosi Bola and Abidoye Sudan.

 Helen Schonbrodt will lead Babalola Issa and Sunday Aremu during the selection event in the absence of co-head coach, Jide Oguntuase who is away in Cape Coast, Ghana to represent Search and Groom at the “Football for Hope” Adidas Exchange coaching programme.

 Eight players from the squad will be wearing the Nigerian jersey and competing with seventy-one other countries from all over the World for the 10th edition of the Annual World Street Soccer Championship which holds in October 6 -14, 2012.
