a bid to compliment the efforts of the Lagos State Government on
Grassroot Sports Development, the Lagos State Judo Association, LSJA,
has concluded plans to organize a 4 day Judo clinic tagged "Lagos City
Judo Clinic for Schools"
The event which will commence on Monday, 20th through Thursday 23rd of May, 2013 at the Mobolaji Johnson Indoor Sports hall, Rowe Park, Yaba, is designed to nurture newly discovered talented Judokas to limelight as well to inculcate into the secondary schools pupils the spirit of respect, confident and discipline for maximum efficiency, stressing that the gesture would help the student to practice Judo and study to attain their educational pursuit.

Soribe, said the Association chairman, Alhaji Mutiu Are, and the entire board members had vowed that the association would not relent in its efforts to record better performance at the next edition of National Sports Festival billed for Cross River State in 2014, adding that series of competitions organized by the association couple with the technical support of the coaches resulted to a good outing at the last National Sports Festival tagged EKO 2012 Games.
According to her, the State Government under the administration of Babatunde Raji Fashola, has regenerated the standard of sports and the efficacy of funds invested in sports development was displayed at the 18 National Sports Festival where the state clinched the 3rd position which was far better than what the state achieved at Garden City Games organized by the Rivers State Government.
Thus, the association has resolved to step up campaign to record an outstanding result at the next Sports Festival and other national championship.
