Making the presentation in Abuja yesterday, Hungary’s Secretary of State who doubles as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Peter Szijjarto, said the generations of Hungarian National Team players had used the special bed to enhance their fitness before international matches and tournaments.
Szijjarto, was accompanied to the presentation by the Ambassador of Hungary to Nigeria, Zsolt Mario, the Consul-General, Endre Deri and other dignitaries from the Embassy of Hungary.
President of the Nigeria Football Association, Aminu Maigari, who was represented by the Vice President, Chief Mike Umeh, hailed the gesture by the Embassy of Hungary, saying that the Sensolite Health Bed would be deployed to good use by the Nigeria Football Association.
For your information, the Nigeria Football Federation has charge of 10 National Teams, which it holds in trust for the Federal Government of Nigeria... Most of these teams are always actively engaged and in camp for one competition or the other, and will find this excellent equipment most useful.
“Let me assure Your Excellencies that the NFF is positively disposed to the offer for collaborative joint ventures between our two countries in the football sphere. As the champions of Africa and one of the most flamboyant teams in world football, we have something to offer to Hungary, which also has something to offer us in the technical area.”
Umeh, presented a football autographed by players of the Super Eagles, as well as a personalized football jersey to Szijjarto, and another one for the Prime Minister of Republic of Hungary, His Excellency Viktor Orban.
