LSFA Takes Boska Champions Cup To DFA's

The Lagos stat Football Assocaition, LSFA, has shed light on the reason why the annual Boska Soccer cup usually organized by the Lagos Divisional Football Association, LDFA, is being handled by the LSFA.
The current board of Lagos Divisonal Football Association, LDFA,felt that the LSFA should have handed over the competition to LDFA instead of making it LSFA properties.
LSFA chairman, Seyi Akinwunmi said it was not in the association wisdom to take away the BOSKA soccer cup from the LDFA but rather it is a way of maximizing the potentials from every organized football competitions in the state, stressing that the board of LSFA has been able to spread its tentacles across the five divisional football associations.
According to him, this year’s edition tagged BOSKA/LSFA champions Cup is designed to discover talents across the state through the Divisional Football Associations, adding that it would also enhance football referees, coached and football scouts as it would make them better in their chosen profession.
He said the LSFA would ensure that all hands are on deck to ensure that the competition is hitch-free and also to justify the set objectives of the BOSKA soccer cup.
Product Manager, Dexamedica, Hendri Rusman, said the sixth edition would be far better organized than previous editions as he explained that it would add value to the growth of grassroot football in Lagos State.
Rusman, who claimed that the competition is part of the company’s social responsibility to the society, said Nigeria was blessed with abundant talents and there is need to invest in the grassroot football to fish out and nurture hem to stardom.
LSFA vice-chairman, Tade Azeez said the competition which would be played on Knock-out basis would be played in five venues through the DFA’s.
The competition which will attract 128 clubs will kick-off on the eleventh of November while the ceremonial kick-off start on Thursday, 31st of October, 2013, at the Legacy pitch, Surulere.
Seminar for the match officials, clubs officials, as well as the tournament's draws will come up on Wednesday, 13th of November, 2013.
Eventual winner will get three hundred thousand naira (300,000.00), first runner- up takes two hundred thousand naira ( 200,000.00) One hundred thousand naira goes to the second runners- up (100.000.00) just as the fourth place team gets fifty thousand naira (50,000.00)
