Tinubu, Lagos LG Bosses To Receive Wrestlers’ Awards.

 
The Indoor Sports Hall of Mobolaji Johnson Sports Hall, Rowe Park, Lagos will be agog on Saturday, 9th of February as Nigeria Professional Wrestling Federation in conjunction with Current World Wrestling Federation organise a gala nite to honour some deserving chairmen and chairperson of Local Government Area, LGA and Local Council Development Area, LCDA, in Lagos State for providing dividends of democracy to their people.

President of the federation, Prince Hameed Olanrewaju Mohammed, said a wrestling championship that will parade top Nigerian wrestlers will be staged to spice up the nite where former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, his wife Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Chairman of All Progressive Alliance, APC, Lagos chapter, Chief Henry Ajomale will also be honoured.

“There is a common thing with these award winners; they have one way or the other alleviating the suffering of their people with human interest projects in our community. This is what we are expecting from our public office holders that government should be ran for the benefit of the people,” he said.

Prince Mohammed listed some of the Local Government chairmen who will receive the Inter-Continental Good Governance and Peace award of the federation as Taofeek Adaranijo Abiodun, (Orile Agege LCDA),  Abdulraheem Olajide Jimoh (Yaba),  Abdulrasheed Mafe (Mosan/Okunola), Yinka Durosinmi (Ojo), Joseph Ayodeji Adebayo (Apapa) and Shuaib Orominbo Ajidagba (Ifelodun).

Others are Olanrewaju Anafi Elegusi (Eti-Osa), Apostle Oluruntoba Oke (Ifako Ijaiye), Akeem Bamigbola (Itire Ikate), Daramola Muideen Arobadade (Iru/Victoria Island), Princess Ramota Oseni Adeyeri (Iba), Adekanye Oladele Rufus (Lagos Mainland), Shamsdeen Abiodun Olaleye (Isolo) and Amida Abudu (Olorunda)

“National leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will be honour with Governor Emeritus/Leadership award, his wife will receive the honour of Best Senator/Good Governance award, while Chairman of All Progressive Alliance, APC, Lagos chapter, Chief Ajomale will be honoured with Peace Maker award.

“This will be a continuous process as we based our judgement on the reports of independent assessors that went round these local councils to see these public office holders have been performing to put smiles on the faces of their people.

“We are not alone in this, we have the backing and support of the Current World Wrestling Federation which is based in Austria,” he said.
