Lagos State Softball and Baseball Association is set to organise a three days annual coaching clinic for umpires and scorers, school games masters and other interested individuals in Lagos State.
The clinic will hold from 4-6 March, 2015 at the Lagos State Sports Council, Rowe Park, Yaba.
About 100 participants are expected to attend the coaching clinic where
new rules and techniques of the game would be taught by experts in the
game.
The programme is part of the responsibilities of the association to develop the game of softball and baseball in Lagos' secondary schools.
Chairperson of the Lagos State Softball and Baseball Association, Onyeka Onuorah, said the association will leave nothing to chance to ensure that many secondary schools in Lagos State embrace the game.
" I and other members of the association are working assiduously to make sure that more schools in Lagos State embrace the sports," she said.
To achieve this task, Mrs. Onuorah said: "We are going to work with private sectors, our former players and some of our foreign-based players who are willing to support our efforts financially through donations of kits."
