NFF Challenges Eagles On New Attitude.

The President of Nigeria Football Federation,Pinnick Amaju, has lambasted Super Eagles players for their failure to record a victory against Uganda in an international friendly played yesterday at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, in Uyo.

Nigeria's Super Eagles lost to Uganda by  alone goal as Miya Faruku of Uganda scored the only goal in the eighty- one minutes.

Pinnick, who frowned at the attitude of the Super Eagles players, said they should only accept NFF subsequent invitation for national assignments when they are in a good frame of mind to give the best for Nigeria or decline the invite when they are not in good form.

“When next you receive an invitation letter to come represent Nigeria, you have a critical decision to make: accept it only if you believe you are in the frame of mind to give your everything or decline if you do not feel that way. The camp of the National Team would no longer welcome average players or good players with poor attitude.

“Today, we are supposed to be celebrating with Vincent Enyeama on his 100th cap, but your poor performance has ruined the party and Nigerians are very angry,” Pinnick said.

The NFF President, who stressed that Super Eagles would no longer welcome average players or good players with poor attitude, said Nigerian soccer adminsitrators and fans were angried because they suppose to be celebrating with Vincent Enyeama's hundredth cap but their poor performance ruined the party.

Disclosing that the new NF has great plans for the welfare of players of the National Teams and emphasizing that only good results will encourage Corporate Nigeria to pump in the needed funds, Pinnick challenged the players to go to Nelspruit and beat South Africa’s Bafana Bafana on Sunday to somewhat redeem their image.

NFF First Vice President, Seyi Akinwunmi, stated that the problem was certainly not ability, but attitude, as he advocated for positive attitude when the players are representing Nigeria in any tournament while Anyansi-Agwu talked of the need to “build a new Super Eagles of our collective dream.” Dikko urged that players be ready to transfer club form to the international front.
Super Eagles stand-in Coach, Daniel Amokachi, said invited Eagles players must now be ready to give one hundred and twenty per cent on the pitch to make Nigeria proud.
