Gabon to host 2017 African Cup of Nations

Gabon has been designated as host nation for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football took the decision at its meeting in Egypt on Wednesday, ahead of the Draw Ceremony fixed for the same day at the imposing CAF headquarters in 6^th October City.

The Gabonese co-hosted the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations with Equatorial Guinea, during which the Panthers reached the quarter finals
