Stanley Okorom, Qudus Sulaiman and Kehinde Olatunji Set For Belgian League.






Chief football scouts from Foot Support and Consulting in Belgium have identified six young football players of 36 Lion Football Club as a good players to play professional football in Belgium.

The  football scouts were able to select the payers after a three- day exercise which ended on Wednesday at the Agege Stadium, Agege, in Lagos State.

Chairman, 36 Lion Football Club, Gafar Liameed, while speaking with sports journalists, said Stanley Okorom, a member of the Nigeria's Olympic team, Qudus Sulaiman and Kehinde Olatunji were the three players who would sign a deal with Belgian professional division two teams out of the six identified players.

"They identified two from Bridge FC, One fro Ikorodu United and Six from 36 Lion FC as two to three football players will sign professional deal." Stanley Okorom of Nigeria's Under - 23 team will go for Belgian division two league.Qudus Sulaiman, a 17 year old and  Kehinde Olatunji, also a 17 year old player.

He added that the duo of Qudus Sulaiman and Kehinde Bello who are seventeen year old would be in FC Brugge on a six month probation after which they would be offered a pre- professional contract, stressing that the scots who are working with top professional football clubs in Belgium are working in tandem with 36 Lion FC philosophy.

According to Liamed, the chief football scouts whom he has been with for a couple of years also identified two players from Bridge FC and one player from Ikorodu United, stressing that the duo of  Saggese Michel and Marck Van Osselaer of  Foot Support and Consulting  would be back in the country for all the identified players.

"Following the not too impressive result, we now invited the scouts to visit Nigeria with the view of meeting his players and other players from other clubs."Our club, 36 Lion FC  is a youthful developmental football club", Liamed Said.

Two years ago, we sent six players to Belgium, Sodiq Saliu Popoola, Imoke Osike, Sodiq Atanda who Samson Siasia invited to camp.Oshobe, Abib Bello, Orhu Chinoso".Out of the six players, only two players signed, Imoh Ezekiel and Sadiq Popoola"

The board member of the Lagos State Football Association,LSFA, said the scouts were appealed to visit Nigeria not only to see quality players of 36 Lion FC  but also to meet with other credible young Nigerian football players in Lagos State, stressing that six players from his club were sent to Belgium two years with the support of Saggese Michel and Marck Van Osselaer of which only two players Imoh Ezeikel and Sadiq Saliu Popoola signed a professional deal.
