MultiChoice To Show Live Copa America Matches As Awogu Charges Okon On Falcons Defense.

MultiChoice Nigeria Limited, operator of the Digital Satellite Television, DStv, and GOtv has assured Nigerian sports lovers of watching the 2015 Copa America live in their homes.

The tournament kicks-off  on Thursday night in Chile and the South American soccer fiesta runs till 4th of July, 2015, in Santiago.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of Super Sport West Africa, Felix Awogu, has advised the technical crew of Nigeria's Super Falcons headed by Edwin Okon, to focus on the team's defense as the team file out on Friday against  Australia in their second Group match.

Awogu, while speaking with Sportsweight.blogspot.com, said the team played an exciting free- flowing football to admiration of soccer fans yet there is a need for the squad to have a solid defense that would be difficult for their opponents to penetrate their rear.

"It is quite interesting for the Falcons, i think, they need o work more on their defense.I think it is not all about flare, the same think happened to Flying Eagles.It is not about going outside wihtout keeping the defense tight."


Nigeria's Super Falcons would have defeated Sweden if they were disciplined in the defense and i think the team technical crew needs to work on it.


"We played the champion and we played 3- 3, which i think we should have won.They need to go with the same mentality but should close the defense"

He said the Super Falcons would  had recorded her first victory against Sweden in their first group match in the FIFA Women's World Cup if they had perfected a good defensive strategy to curb the attacking force of the Swedish players, adding that football has gone scientific and the team's technical crew must be abreast of modern tactical approach to the game of football.
