Nigeria Dominates FIBA Africa Zone 3

Nigeria has dominated the miden edtion of FIBA Zone Three, three on three tour in the tournament which ended yesterday in the Indoor Sports hall of National Stadium, Surulere.
The tournament, which attracted seven West African countries that made up the zone, saw Nigerian teams, in senior men and women's events and under eioghteen cadre in the girs event.
The Nigeria's men's squad which comprises the quartet of Stanley Gmut, Yahaya Abdul, Azuoma Dike and Embeaga defeated Togo by 21 points to 19 in the semi-final before outplaying Cote D'Ivoire in the final by 17 points to 13.
Nigeria also repeated similar feat in the final of Women's event after beating Togo, by 21 points to 9 as the team made up of Nkechi Akashili, Upe Atosu, Sarah Ogoke and Chioma Udeaja outdunked Ghana by 21 points to 5, in the semi final.
In the Under-18 Girls final, Nigeria won the trophy at stake after defeating Republic of Benin by 11 points 3, as the Nigeria's Under-18 men's team lost to Togo in the third place match, 11 points to 8.
Liberia defeated Cote D'Ivoire in the final of Under-18 boys final, 14 points to 12.
