Super Sport Brings Copa America Live To Nigerians



MultiChoice Nigeria Limited, operator of the Digital Satellite Television, popularly known as DStv, and GOtv has assured Nigerian sports lovers of watching the 2015 Copa America live in their homes.
 
The month-long tournament kicks-off in Chile on Thursday night and the South American showpiece runs until the final in Santiago on July 4.
 
Martin Mabutho, General Manager, Marketing, MultiChoice said in Lagos Tuesday that the company is ever ready all the time to give its subscribers the best coverage available at users friendly price.
 
“We have secured the right to show live matches of the Copa America 2015 to our teeming subscribers on SuperSport and GOtv. I’m happy to announce that Nigerians would have the opportunity to watch live matches of this competition where two teammates of FC Barcelona of Spain, Lionel Messi and Neymar would be playing against each other for Argentina and Brazil respectively at no additional cost to our Premium and Compact Plus subscribers,” Mabutho said.
 
As part of DStv to celebrate this year’s Copa America, a 50 percent slash of the price of Explorer would also be given to subscribers with option of installment payment, details of which would be unveiled any moment from now.
 
He also disclosed that the forthcoming qualifying series ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, which will start this weekend, would also be shown live on SuperSport and GOtv.
 
He assured Nigerians that the company also holds its existing rights to the English Premier League, the NBA, Formula 1, Glo Premier League in Nigeria and others.
