Remo Stars Disgraced Enyimba Out Of Federation's Cup.

Remo Stars FC has created an upset in the ongoing Federation's Cup as the team defeated  defending Champions Enyimba Football Club, three- one, through penalties to progressed to the round of 16 of the Federations Cup.

Remo Stars drew first blood through Ogbonna Paul who scored his first goal for the Sky Blue Stars after his low shot on the 28th minutes left Enyimba goalie Femi Thomas rooted to the spot.

A response was expected from the defending champions but were unable to break the resilient defense of the Sky Blue Stars and ended the first half trailing by a goal to nil.


At half time the Sky Blue Stars had won over the hearts of the Benin Football fans with the level of performance, zeal and determination to prove a point.


Uwadieagwu Ugwu gave Enyimba the much needed response in the second half as he converted a free-kick in the second half which saw the game ended in stalemate after some resilient from the Sky Blue Stars.


Remo Stars goalkeeper, Ndukwe Chizoba, was on form as he saved Maxson Ojobo, Okonkwo spot Kick while Ezikel Bassey hit the wood work which saw Adebogun Omotayo convert the decisive penalty to spark up a moment ending with euphoria
from the players and the Benin football fans after ending the spot kick 1-3.
