Helen Charges NBBF On Training Tour.

The captain of Nigeria's D'Tigress, Helen Ogunjimi, has called on the Nigeria Basketball Federation,NBBF, to pave the way for the team to embark on a training tour of Europe ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games play- off.

The D'Tigress captain, who felt bad that Nigeria lost to Cameroon by a point in the semi final of Women's Afrobasket Championship in Yaounde, Cameroon, said the team had put behind the defeat and they were focusing on the qualifier fixed for next year.

Noting that the training tour would give them the opportunity to have enough training sessions to book a ticket for the next Olympic Games in Brazil, Ogunjimi, urged the team's technical crew to retain the crop of basketball players who represented the nation at the championship because the team performed beyond expectations.


The basketball player, who is unperturbed about the countries Nigeria would be paired with in the play- off, said the commitment of D'Tigress at the tournament in Cameroon, showed that they had what it takes to qualify for the next Olympic Games.
