Bola Ahmed Tinubu Under 14 Logo Unveil.

The logo of the maiden edition of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Under 14 Soccer championship has been unveiled as the tournament will attract all the Local Government and Local Council Development Area.

The exercise which was performed by Pius Akinyelure who represented the former Governor, said the BAT Under 14 soccer championship was an avenue for the nation to select young talented football players who be nurtured to stardom to replace ageing Super Eagles football players.

Akinyelure, said the former Governor achievements would forever stand the sand of time as the Governor has placed Nigeria on a vintage position through the annual Governor Tennis Championship which has been runing for ten years.

While commending Double Accord Resources for organising the tournament, Akinyelure, urged the organisers to live up to expectations and ensure that only football players who are within the stipulated age are allowed to feature in the competition.

The spokesperson of the Double Accord Resources Gbenga Akande, confirmed that the tourney was being organised to honour the former Governor in recognition of his achievements in education, health, infrastructure amoong others.

He said the competition which would take the youth out of criminal activities would help to resuscitate football competitions at the grassroot level.

According to him, the tournament which would kick start in February, 2011, would be played on knock out basis as the teams would be paired in four groups of fourteen teams.
