The Nigeria Football Federation has resolved to ratify the appointment of a new Head coac of the Super Falcons this month.
Barrister Chris Green, who is chairman of the NFF Technical Sub-Committee, said the committee had made recommendations to the Executive Committee of the NFF as the Federation is expected to meet to deliberate on the recommendations and make a decision this month.
“We don’t understand the hue and cry by some persons who did very little to promote the women’s game and the women National Teams when they were in the position to do so. As far as the Technical Committee is concerned, we have made recommendations to the Executive Committee and the latter will sit to deliberate on the recommendations and make a decision this month”, said Barrister Chris Green, who is chairman of the NFF Technical Sub-Committee.
Green said the Technical Sub-Committee had high regard for the women’s game because women football has brought so much glory to the country in the past two decades, thus the NFF has no reason to treat women’s football with disdain.
“The truth is that some of those who are now crying wolf had opportunities to do far more for the women’s game when they in position of authority but chose to pursue other interests”, stated Green, who also noted that the Super Falcons have no engagement for now, before a 2012 African Women Championship qualifier at the end of May 2012.
