Lagos State To Begin Prepare Series Competition.

As part of plans to record an outstanding performance at the 18th national sport festival tagged Eko 2012, the Lagos State is set to organise a competition tagged "Lagos Prepared Series " Scheduled for next month.
Sportsweight.blogspot.com reports that renovation works had begun at the Lagos State Sports Council, Rowe Park, Yaba, Agege, Teslim Balogun and Onikan Stadia as the House Committee on Youth, Sports and Social develoopment, Main Organising Committee and the Ministry of Youth Sports and Social development,had paid to some of the venues approved for the EKO 2012 Games.
Commissioner for youth sport and social development,Wahied Enitan Oshodi,who made this statement,said the essence of the Lagos prepared series was to engage the State's athletes in a competitive tournaments to make them record a outstanding performance at the Eko 2012 Games in November.
According to him,the event would create an opportunity to compete with their counterparts in others as the move would enable each sport association to ascertain the readiness of their Wards for the Games.
The former Chairman of Lagos State Table Tennis Association, said the Lagos state Football Association was on the verge of organising a football Competition which would involve all the national League Clubs as well as the State football teams to the Eko 2012,Stressing the move would enable the team's technical crew to present a virile team at the Games.
The Commissioner,said winning a Gold medal in the football event would put smiles on Governor Bbabatunde Raji Fashola for his huge investment in football and other Sports.
