Deputy Governor,Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefulire,who doubles as the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, said the visit became important in a bid to intimate the royal father of the plans of the state government and the Committee in staging a befitting Games that would surpass Rivers Garden City Games held last year.
The Deputy Governor, informed the royal father that the Committee would soon pay a visit to other royal fathers in Epe,Ikorodu,Badagry,Ikeja to sensitize them on the readiness of the government to put in place a quality spoorts facilities that would enhance the growth of sports development and also to stage an event that will linger for long.
She assured that the ongoing renovation works at various venues accreditted for the Games would be completed before the final inspection by the Main Orgganising Committee.
Oba Akiolu, who was elated to receive the team,said the state government as well as the Local Organising Committee would be given adequate support that would enable the state to orgnise a hitch free event. The royal father, urged the participating teams to eschew from social vices that could hamper the successful hosting of the Games
