Danny Shittu Out Of Afcon 2013.

Former Super Eagles defender Danny Shittu, has been knocked out of the list of Eagles players to the African Nations Cup in South Africa.

 Eagles, Coach, Stephen Keshi, confirmed that the defender has asked to be excluded from the Nations Cup.

On Newcastle forward, Shola Ameobi, Keshi, said the team's Manager, Allan Pardew, could not hold down the Nigerian born Newcastle United striker due to the FIFA rules,stressing that he wants to be sure that Ameobi is ready to play for Nigeria before the Nigeria Football Federation apply the rules.

Keshi, said Ameobi had the final say regarding whether he wants to be part of the Nigerian setup in South Africa, adding that the Newcastle United striker is yet o discuss with him after the English Premier League game against Manchester United.
