Eagles Is Capable Of Winning Afcon Cup, Edema.

Former Flying Eagles International, Edema Benson, is optimistic that Nigeria's Super Eagles will make the nation proud at the African Nations Cup in South Africa.

Benson, who featured at the FIFA Junior World Cup tagged Mexico 83, said the quartet of Stephen Keshi, the team head coach and the Assistant Coaches, Daniel Amokachi, Ike Shorunmu and Sylvanus Okpala who had played at the competition had the soccer pedigree to aid the team to qualify for the knock out round of the continental soccer fiesta.

The former ACB football club, said Keshi had selected the best crop of football players to represent Nigeria at the competition as he believed that the friendlies matches which the team had played would serve as an avenue to assess the players fitness and also to put them in the right frame of mind ahead of the tournament.

He appealed to Nigerian teaming soccer fans not to entertain fears whether the team would perform beyond expectations having failed to qualify for the last edition of the continental soccer fiesta in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

Nigeria's Super Eagle will on Monday, 21st of January, 2013, file out against Burkina Faso in its Group C first match.
