I Do Not Deserve First Yellow Card, Says Ambrose Efe.

Super Eagles' defender, Efe Ambrose has said he was shocked after the centre referee issued him a red card at the Africa Nations Cup encounter against the Stallions of Burkina Faso.

 The Celtic defender, said the red card issued to him was totally shocking because the contact was very minimal and it was as if the Algerian referee was waiting for two players to make contact to issue Nigeria a red card.

Ambrose was sent off in the encounter that ended one goal apiece for a second yellow card offence by the Algerian referee, Mohammed Benouza.

The Celtic strongman will miss the crucial Group C tie against Afcon holders, Chipolopolo of Zambia in Nelspruit on Friday.

Ambrose said even the yellow card he received was a first tackle which he did not deserve to be given.
