Jimoh Ajao Departs Nigeria On A Tour Of South Africa.

As part of efforts to fulfill its promises as a responsible corporate organization, the runner up of the Season 5, MTN Lagos Street Soccer Championship, Jimoh Ajao Street has departed the country on Monday for a tour of South Africa.

The team which comprises of ten football players and two officials were giving the sum of three hundred dollars each in addition to the welfare packages provided by the Local Government Committee.

Secretary of the Local Organising Committee,Deji Aladegbemi, said the team would have an opportunity to witness preparations of African Nations Cup and also tour Soccer City Stadium that would host the opening and closing ceremony of the African Nations Cup.

According to Aladegbemi, the team would visit Sandton Sports Club where they would learn various types of drilling skills such as tactical soccer skills, functional drilling skills by a professional football coach, adding that the team would also be engaged in Players Mentoring Programme where a seasoned international football player would educate them on what it takes to become a future great football players.

He confirmed that the team would play a friendly match with a local based South African football club at the Sandton Sports Club where they are expected to put their newly acquired skills in good use.

Head of Department, Research and Planning in the Office of Sports, Shade Lawal,charged the football players to see themselves as a good ambassadors of Nigeria and they must promote the corporate image of the sponsor, MTN Nigeria and Lagos State Government.

She encouraged them to embrace education and eschew from performance enhancing  drugs.

Director Finance and Administration in the Office of Sports, Braimoh Bashir, urged the football players to be disciplined and work as a team to achieve success, stressing that they must remain focus in their chosen profession.

The team Manager, Daramola Olaoluwa, thanked the Lagos State Government and MTN Nigeria for providing a viable platform for the youth to add value to their career.

The players are, Oladipupo Rasak, Morufudeen Oyebola, Abiodun Olateju, Akinyemi Joseph, Mohammed Kehinde, Joseph Omoniyi, Ogunjobi Kamoru, Gregory Selbol, Edwin Okpare, Eze Ejike.

The team 's crew are, Daramola Olaoluwa, the team's manager while Arowosafe Adeshina is the Head Coach.

The team was led by Olumide Filade, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Development, Alhaji AbduAzeez Tijani, L.O.C member, Dotun Coker, a member of Lagos State Football Association/L.O.C member
