The Mushin team was relatively unchanged over the break but Surulere Fc was very busy in the transfer market and have completely overhauled their squad with nearly ten new signings .

 Surulere FC's new signings nearly made the difference in the first half of the Lagos Junior League as they completely dominated their opponents. Surulere created a plethora of chances but poor finishing and good defending from Mushin denied them a goal.

 The second half was a new affair as cracks started to show in the Surulere Fc newly assembled team.

The better integrated Mushin side showed their team spirit as they started to mount the pressure on their Surulere counterpart. Their efforts eventually paid off as Mushin took the lead eight minutes from time to clinch their first victory of the year.
