Former Super Eagles midfielder, Sunday Oliseh, has said that Nigeria's Super Eagles are the architect of their misfortune in their first Group C match against Burkina Faso at the ongoing 29th edition of the African Nations Cup in South Africa.
Oliseh, said the Eagles should had secured the maximum three points if the team had resorted into a defensive pattern of 4- 4- 1 after Efe Ambrose was issued a red card, adding that the Eagles would walking on a tight rope in their second Group C match against the defending champion, Zambia.
He said the red card issued to Ambrose of Eagles was part of the factors that affected the team's zeal to secure a win against the Burkina Faso as he explained that Ambrose should not have rushed into the tackle that prompted the referee to give him a red card.
He said the team lacks cohesion especially between the midfielders and defenders as the gesture was part the prizes the Eagles which is still in the building process have to pay, adding that the Ethiopian side were able to react positively to the red card issued to its player as they changed their playing patterns to pave the way for the One - all draw.
