National Baeball Team Concludes Camping.

The national camp of Nigeria Under 12 Baseball team has officially come to an end in Rosebud College, Ibadan, Oyo state.

Declaring the camp closed, Oyo State Commissioner of Sports represented by Director of Sports in the Ministry Mrs Bisi Adegoke called on the young lads to remain focused and be good representatives of Nigeria in far away Taipei, China when the championship proper
starts in July.

She reminded the team that the proposed training tour to Washington DC, USA is meant to put them in a better shape to confront the rest of the world stressing that the government and good people of Oyo State are proud of them and will use any legal means to see that they fly
the country’s flag high in the championship.

“The report we got from the technical crew about your performance is a healthy one. I think the zeal you have exhibited within this camping period is a true reflection of Nigeria spirit”

I want to urge you not to relent in your efforts so far. We are solidly behind you. Go out there and do Nigeria proud” she said.

In his response, the Secretary General of Nigeria Baseball and Softball Federation, NBSF, Kehinde Olaniyan thanked Oyo State government for the great honour done to the team saying that he’s
proud to pronounce the state as the home of baseball in Nigeria.

“Oyo state has shown character in sports development especially in the area of baseball. We want to promise that we will not let this state and Nigeria down” he concluded.
