Chairman, Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation Christopher Green, has challenged the coaching crew of Nigeria's Golden Eagles to keep their winning momentum as they intensify preparation for the forthcoming CAF Under 17 Championship in Morocco.
The Golden Eaglets will today play the second of their two-match international friendlies against Diamond Zebras of Botswana at the U.J Esuene Stadium in Calabar in a scheduled to kick off 4.00pm.
Speaking with the Golden Eaglets’ coaching crew before team's 3-0 win, Green said it was important for the team to be focussed on the task at hand, adding the national Under 17 team is the bedrock of Nigerian football.
The NFF in conjuction with the Cross River State government has organised several camps to put the Golden Eaglets in tip-top shape.
The team under the quartet of Coach Manu Garba, Emmanuel Amuneke, Nduka Ugbade and Emeka Amadi, has remained unbeaten in over 20 matches-both friendly and qualifying matches- since last year.
He said the NFF would continue to support the Eaglets because the development at the under 17 level is dear to their heart and they would not spare efforts at ensuring that Nigeria gets the desired result.
