A delegation of the Nigeria Football Federation was at the University Teaching Hospital (UCH), Ibadan on Saturday morning to wish former Nigeria international and ex-Coach of the Super Falcons, Joseph Ladipo (Jossy Lad) quick recovery.
Jossy Lad, who captained top Nigeria club, 3SC (then IICC Shooting Stars) and played for the Senior National Team, took ill recently and is hospitalized at the prestigeous institution in West Africa’s
largest city.
NFF 1st Vice President, Chief Mike Umeh, himself a former Team Manager of the senior National Team, led NFF Executive Committee member, Barrister Olaleye Adepoju and Assistant Director (Media), Ademola Olajire to empathise with the former Super Falcons’ Head Coach on sick
bed. Also with them was Coordinator of the National Sports Commission, Zone 2, Dr. Steve Olarinoye.
“The President of NFF, Alhaji Aminu Maigari sent us here to see for ourselves, your condition, and also wish you soonest recovery and to assure you of the good wishes of the entire Nigeria football family at this trying period.
“What we have brought to you is little money for you to buy fruits and foot some bills as you recuperate. We will definitely be back to give you more support but we are sure that by then, we will be doing that at your house after you might have returned home,” Chief Umeh said.
A jovial and visibly elated Jossy Lad expressed his appreciation to the NFF President and assured that he was getting better.
Barrister Adepoju, who is also Chairman of the Oyo State Football Association, confirmed that the condition of the former Super Falcons’ boss has greatly improved from when he (Adepoju) last visited him.
