All is set for the finals of the 2013 LSFA/Skye Bank Oba Cup as 26 Lion football club battle Bomb Blast football club for the coveted Trophy. The finals hold at the home of football, legendary Onikan Stadium, Lagos.
The finals of the championship which is one of the oldest knock-out club competitions in the State promises to be a highly entertaining and explosive one, given the form of both sides.
36 Lion FC defeated Current football club with 5 unreplied goals in the first semi finals to book its place in the finals, while Bomb Blast FC also stopped its semi finals opponent, Ascenders football club by 4 goals to nothing to secure its place in Thursday's finals.
Speaking ahead of the finals, Chairman of Lagos State football Association, Seyi Akinwunmi disclosed that all is set for an exciting final that promises lots of goals with the way both finalists have been scoring goals since the commencement of the championship.
He informed that apart from his royal highness, Oba Reliwan Babatunde Akinolu and his white cap chiefs, the honourable commissioner for Sports, Enitan Oshodi and other top dignitaries are expected to grace the finals.
Akinwunmi also informed that the third place match will also hold same day with Ascenders FC and Current FC fighting for pride in the losers finals.
Also expected is the Managing Director of Skye Bank PLC, Mr. Kehinde Durosimmi-Etiti with other top management staff supporting him.
