De Royal F.C Smiles Home With Extra Joss One Million Naira

Representative of Lagos Divisional Football Association,De Royal Football Club has emerged the champion of the season 2, Extra Joss Football competition which ended today at the Campos Stadium,Lagos Island.
The team which won the one million naira at stake for the eventual winner defeated Rain bowl Football Club from Ikeja Foo ball Divisional Association by two unreplied goals scored by Ganiu Babatunde and Nosiru Kabiru.
De Royal football Club that defeated A papa Golden Star, 4- 1,at the semi final missed many according chances in the first half as Ganiu Babatunde skillfully outsmart Rainbowl's FC goalkeeper to score the team's first goal in the 32 minutes.
The introduction of Nosiru Kabiru in the second half paved the way for Due Royal F.C victory as the player sealed the aspirations of Rainbowl F.C s he netted the second goal in the 60 the minutes to grab the star prize of one
million naira earmarked for the winner of season 2, Extra Joss soccer tournament.
Efforts of Rain bowl F.C that grabbed the sum of seven hundred and fifty thousand naira o score a goal was denied by De Royal defenders who resorted to defensive game after scoring two goals.
Country Manager Kalbe International, Didik Novandi, who was elated that the tournament was played across the state through the five divisional football associations, said the country would not relent in its efforts to continue sponsoring the grassroot football tournament which has been able to add value to the growth of grassroot football.
To Novandi, said the tournament sponsored by Kalbe international in conjunction with the Lagos State Ministry of Youth Sports and Social Development had been able to unearth talented football players as plans are in top gear to forward the list of discovered players to the Lagos State Football Association for further exposure.
Coach of Due Royal FC,Thomas Oluwafemi Okanlawon, said his players played to instructions as he told them to play offensive football players which gave them the two - nil victory,adding that they worked hard to record outstanding perfomance at the tournament.
Head coach of Rainowl Football Club,Owolabi Omolaja, who praised for good outing despite the defeat, said the inability of his players to play to his instructions was responsible for their defeat,adding that his players failed to convert their scoring chances.
He said De Royal F.C resorte to defensive game having scored two goals as the move made it difficult for his boys to equalize.
Sapara Adewale of A papa Golden Star was adjudged the tournament's Most Valuable Player award,Lucky Jamiu of De Royal F.C was awarded the tournament's Best Goalkeeper, Fatal Bakare of Junior Milan went home with the Highest Goal Scorer award while Shadow F.C got the Fair Play award.
