DSTV Introduces Cash Reward To Attarcts Fans

In a bid to attract large turn out of basketball fans to match venues, the sponsor of Dstv Premier Basketball league, Digital Television,DSTV, has introduced a cash reward of five hundred thousand naira and  other incentives for the team with strongest fan base.

The sponsor, also introduced the Supersport Man of the Match award for the best individual player in every match as each club is responsible for mobilising their fans and creating a fan base to ensure sustainable followership of the league games.

The board of NBBF has welcomed Kwara Falcons in the Atlantic Conference and Gombe Bulls in the Savannah Conference to the Premier League while the relegation of Comets and Yelwa Hawks from the two Conferences were ratified.

Meanwhile, the 2013/2014 Dstv Premier Basketball league will commence on Friday, February 28, 2014 with a pre-season match at the National Stadium in Lagos between two premiership teams.

The regular season will commence on Friday, seventh of March, 2014 at the Atlantic and Savannah Conferences while the Zenith Bank league for women is to commence on Wednesday, nineteenth of March, 2014 with all teams playing in the first two phases and eight teams qualifying to play in the Final-8 play-offs.
