The Nigeria Football Federation at the weekend sent a message of condolence to the Kogi State Football Association over the death of its Secretary, Mr. Shuaibu Samuel Ibrahim.

Easy-going and unassuming Shuaibu Samuel Ibrahim died on Wednesday after a brief illness, at the age of 40, and was buried in his hometown, Idah on Saturday.

President of Nigeria Football Federation, Aminu Maigari, expressed deep shock over the sudden departure of the highly experienced and dedicated football administrator, who was Secretary of Kogi State Football Association for about eight years.

"The Nigeria Football Federation and the entire Nigeria football family deeply mourn with the Kogi State FA on the sudden death of Mr. Shuaibu Samuel Ibrahim, a very dedicated and disciplined football administrator, at the young age of 40.

"He belonged to the very best tradition of football managers, and we pray that God will grant the family, friends and Nigeria football family he has left behind the fortitude to bear the loss, while also praying that God will grant him eternal rest."
