DAWN GAMES: Oyinlomo Quadre Wins Gold Medal For Team Lagos

Lagos State Tennis players have dominated the tennis event in the ongoing DAWN Games as the tennis players won three Gold and two bronze medals as the tennis event was concluded yesterday at the tennis court of the Lagos State Sports Council, Rowe Park, Yaba.
Sensational Lagos State female tennis player, Oyinlomo Quadre of Maryanne College, who was runners up at the 2013 African Junior Tennis Circuit in Abuja and second runners up at this year's African Junior Tennis Circuit in Kenya, put up a good performance as she overwhelmed Adegboyega Kaosarah of Oyo State by 6- luv, 6 -luv to win a Gold medal in the Girls Singles final.
Quadre, also proved that she is a force reckon with in the junior category as her pairing with Mariam Alli Balogun in the Girls Doubles event yielded positive result as they won a Gold medal after defeating the duo of Adegboyega Kaosarah and Deborah Abiodun of Oyo State, 4- luv, 4- 1.
Martins Abamu who loss to Opeyemi Odeyemi of Ogun State by 7- 6, 6- luv, 7- 4 in the Boys singles final decided on Tuesday, worked hard to win a Gold medal in the Boys Doubles final as his combined efforts with Michael Osewa defeated the duo of Opeyemi Adeyemi and Saheed Oyekan of Ogun State.
Meanwhile, the technical director of Lagos State Tennis Association, Kehinde Ajayi, has enjoined the association's coaches to invite Lagos State tennis players for a regular weekly training programme in order to correct the mistakes commited y the players at the DAWN Games.
