Lagos SWAN Commiserates With Ilaboya

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Lagos State Chapter, has expressed deep condolences to its former Chairman, Vice Chairman of Edo State Football Association and Chief Executive Officer of Sportsville Communication Services Limited, Frank Ilaboya, over the death of his father who passed on to eternal glory on July 26, 2014, at the ripe age of 96.
 
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the association, Emma Njoku, Lagos SWAN chairman, Fred Edore, described the demise of Pa Ilaboya as a huge loss, especially, now that his useful advice is most needed by his illustrious son, Frank, who is aspiring for membership of the Edo State House of Assembly, towards rendering more service to the nation.
 
“On behalf of the executives and entire members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Lagos State Chapter, I wish to express our deepest condolences to our former Chairman, Frank Ilaboya, on the death of his father” Edore began in the statement.
 
“Pa Ilaboya’s demis is such a huge loss, especially, coming at a time that his useful advice would have helped his son, Frank, in his aspiration to represent his people in the Edo State House of Assembly after next year’s general elections” the Lagos SWAN boss regretted in the statement.
 
“We’re, however, consoled by the fact that Pa Ilaboya, not only lived a good life, but also left an enviable legacy personified in our former chairman, Frank, whose achievements have remained reference points in the annals of our great association.
“While we pray for the repose of the soul of our departed father, may the good Lord also grant our dear colleague and former chairman, Frank, and his siblings the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss” the statement concluded.
 
Meanwhile, according to burial plans released by Frank on behalf of the family, a wake keep in honor of late Pa Ilaboya shall hold at his residence, Ule Uantioje Quarters, Uzebba, Owan West Local Government Area, Edo State on September 19, 2014 while his remains shall be laid to rest the following day.
 
Late Pa Ilaboya is survived by many children, grand children and great grand children.
