Umeh Challenges Falconets Ahead Of England's Cracker

Acting President of Nigeria Football Association, Mike Okeke Umeh, has challenged Nigeria's Falconets, to earn a first –ever win over England in the history of the FIFA Under 20 Women’s World Cup..

Having played a barren draw against Mexico in her first group match and a two - one win over Korea Republic, Nigeria's Flaconets will today file out against England in its last group match as the team needs a draw to book a quarter final ticket.

Reports have it that previous clashes between Nigeria and England at the championship have ended in one- all draws, first in Coquimbo, Chile on November 22, 2008 and then in Augsburg, Germany on July 14, 2010.

Umeh, who is happy with the team's performance in the soccer mundial in Canada, urged the players to correct the mistakes commited in their first - two group matches in order to earn a victory against the English team.

The acting NFA President, who believe that the team are well –motivated, said he was optimistic that the Falconets technical crew would go all out for a win.Umeh said in Abuja.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the NFA Technical Committee,Felix Anyansi-Agwu has arrived Edmonton, Canada, and his arrival has boosted the morale of players and officials as they look forward to the encounter with England.
